Christmas is a time of family, happiness, gatherings and celebration. A time when children's faces are glowing with excitement and anticipation. Families gather together and celebrate. However, this Christmas will be different for our family. Last night, Craig's grandmother passed away. She had been in and out of the hospital for several months with a highly contageous infection. Last night, she had almost her entire family there with her as she made her journey home. She was a very strong woman, who fought a daily battle with diabetes and beat cancer twice. She and Craig's grandfather had been married 61 years! She lived a long, full, loving life, and God finally called her home.
It's sad, but I do not believe she would want us to mope around. I remember the first time I met her - at our wedding! She was so happy to see Craig and I married and she was so full of life and energy. She will be missed, but I truly believe that her spirit will live on in the family. Every time we saw her she always asked us when we were going to give her great-grandchildren. It just wasn't the time for us - and it still isn't, but I know in my heart, that when we do decide to have children, she will be watching over them with the same love and joy that she would have if she were here on earth.
This Christmas will not be the same and we will always keep her in our hearts. She's lucky because she gets to celebrate Christmas in the best way!! May she rest in peace and always watch over us.

Sorry.
I hate that for you guys. But you know that she will be with you during Christmas, only this time she will be singing Christmas carols with Jesus and all the saints in the most awesome chorus anyone has ever heard. If you listen real close, you may hear her voice.
Merry Christmas to you an Craig. Charlie and and I will be thinking of all our friends while we stuff ourselves silly with turkey and dressing!!
Amen Lani....I know she must have taken tremendous delight in seeing you the two of you together! :)
